Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, is
the financial and the cultural capital of Australia. As a result of
immigration moves that happened after the second world war, different
cultures became a part of the nations ideology and ethos and as a
result there are plenty of cultural festivals, performances, galleries and
museums in the city to lure the hearts of the tourists from across the
globe. The city centre is full of bars, cafés and shops, interspaced
with beautiful green parks to get away from Melbournes hustle and
bustle.
Wool and raw and processed agricultural goods are exported to various parts
of the globe. The city is heavily industrialized including industries such
as shipbuilding, the manufacture of farm machinery, textiles, and electrical
goods.
