An introduction
The Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is an extra ordinary bird sanctuary and tropical paradise for serene lovers, positioned at the tranquil and scenic Lake Garden (Taman Tasik Perdana). It covers a total area of 3 hectares; the KL Bird Park is one of the largest parks in Southeast Asia, accumulating thousands of unique birds from all the major species of this region. The Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is also a refuge for plants with a wide range of lush foliage. The miniature gardens, pools and water cascades, bridges, flowering plants and bird - feeding stations are additional attracting feature of the park.
Some unique Birds : Hornbills, Storks, Flamingos, Pheasants, Mynahs Pigeons, Macaw, Waterhens, Parrots, Cockatoos and Ducks.
Birds Coming from : Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Tanzania, Australia, Africa, Papua New Guinea, China, Holland, South America, and other countries in South East Asia.
Getting there :
By Bus : 30 minutes drive by road from Jalan Sultan Mohamed, or 22 or 38 from Lebuh Pasar Besar by bus or taxi.
By Train : Kuala Lumpur Railway Station is very close to the Bird Park of KL, and thus easily accessible by train.
