The building consisting of two identical towers was completed in 1998 and designed by Cesar Pelli & Associates. Each floor plan of the Petronas twin tower is based on an eight-point star. The traditionally referential devise and vertical size of the towers is representative of Malaysia’s budding magnitude as a commercial and cultural centre. Though Petronas twin tower is the world’s largest tower but some building in Taiwan called Taipei 101 proclaim as the tallest building over Petronas Twin Tower.

The Construction : The construction of Petronas twin Tower was started in January 1992 as per the decision of the local authorities of Kuala Lumpur who decided to create a business district. The largest and longest concrete of Malaysian history, the Petronas Twin Towers digs down to 30 meters below the surface level. 13,200 cubic meters of concrete was endlessly tipped throughout the time of 54 hours for each tower. The floor of the tower wall stands upon 21-metre high retaining wall, with an edge length of over 1 kilometer. The final product is the basement car park having the total area of 5,400 parking bays on five levels under the dais casing the towers.
